Ayrton’s Story
Ayrton learned about Reflejo through RAP three years ago. When he heard about their vision to send Latinos and saw the opportunity to work to support them in the mission, he wanted to join. Even though he is not a missionary himself, he always wanted to contribute to missions and was encouraged to find a way to contribute to reaching the least evangelized ethnic groups. He started by working on the website and later focused more on technical support and cybersecurity.
In today's world, there is a push to be more public with our information, and we are experiencing a digital age of recklessness. In missions, it is important to have a different culture, one that is aware of public information and careful not to jeopardize the lives of missionaries by sharing sensitive information that could fall into the wrong hands.
Ayrton is focused on facilitating communication with missionaries in sensitive contexts. Missions can be a risky endeavor. Keeping communications secure is one more way we can protect our missionaries. Something Ayrton has discovered anybody can use their gifts towords the Great Commission.
