8 UPGs To Pray For This Month

When it comes to missions, our prayers play a vital role in reaching the unreached—communities with limited or no access to the gospel. Here are eight unreached people groups we invite you to pray for this month:

  1. The Rohingya: This Muslim minority group faces persecution and displacement in Myanmar and neighboring countries. Pray for their safety, protection, and openness to the gospel amidst their struggles.

  2. The Uighurs: Living primarily in China's Xinjiang region, the Uighurs are a Turkic-speaking Muslim people group facing religious persecution and cultural suppression. Pray for opportunities for them to hear and respond to the message of salvation.

  3. The Hazaras: As a predominantly Shia Muslim ethnic group in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the Hazaras face discrimination and violence. Pray for peace, stability, and spiritual breakthroughs in their communities.

  4. The Brahui: Residing in Pakistan's Balochistan province, the Brahui people are one of the least-reached people groups in South Asia. Pray for workers to be sent to share the gospel effectively among them.

  5. The Pashtun: This large ethnic group inhabits Afghanistan and Pakistan, with many unreached communities. Pray for divine appointments and open doors for the gospel to reach the Pashtun people.

  6. The Zhuang: As the largest minority ethnic group in China, the Zhuang people primarily reside in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Pray for unity among believers and boldness in sharing the gospel with Zhuang communities.

  7. The Yazidis: Concentrated in Iraq, Syria, and Turkey, the Yazidis face persecution due to their religious beliefs. Pray for healing, restoration, and opportunities for reconciliation in Yazidi communities.

  8. The Tajiks: Living mainly in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, the Tajiks are a Persian-speaking ethnic group. Pray for spiritual hunger and receptivity to the gospel among Tajik communities.

By lifting these unreached people groups in prayer, we can partner with God in His redemptive work and intercede for their salvation and spiritual transformation. Let's commit to fervently praying for these communities and trusting God to move mightily among them.
