Power of Prayer in Afghanistan

Susana realized she wanted to be more open and started sending Fatima prayers when the taliban were taking over the government by force. All her messages ended with: in the name of the God of love, Amen.

Fatima was at the market with her husband one day when a US soldier approached them and asked them a surprising question.

“Do you want to leave and go to the US?”

They didn’t answer with a yes or no, they simply said “we have no money and no papers.” The soldier nodded and told them to follow him. He took them to a room in the airport where they received their papers to evacuate. Fatima couldn’t believe what was happening. She thanked him and boarded the plane that same day.

Susana hadn’t heard of Fatima for 3 days by now and she prayed every single day for God to protect her and keep her safe. The next afternoon she received a message from Fatima saying: I am in the US with my family. I am safe thanks to your prayers. I want you to know that I will keep praying to your God of love because he sent me someone so that I could be here today.
